Arshak Nersisian was born on Novermber1, 1952 in Armenia.
He has graduated from the Termezian Special Art School and thereafter from the Yerevan
Academy of Fine Art, majoring in Painting and Graphics. He specialized in painting at
the Leningrad Academy and printing techniques in Lithuania and Latvia. In Armenia he worked
as chief editor of the Women of Armenia magazine. In 1996 he became representative of
the Armenian Fund in Bulgaria. In Bulgaria he has been a freelance artist since 1997.
Before that period he participated in art events in Iran, France, Finland and Russia. He has
performed illustrations for books and poetry editions in Armenia. In Bulgaria he has illustrated
Armenian Folk Tales and The Spirit of Armenia. The church "Sv. Tzar Boriz" and the "Sv. Anna"
chapel in Varna were painted by him in 1997. In 2002 he has restored the Armenian Church
in the same city. His individual participations in art events in Bulgaria include:
